Michael Prior Wins Walrus Poetry Prize

Our sincerest congratulations to Michael Prior for winning not only The Walrus Poetry Prize, but also the Readers’ Choice prize in the same contest. Qwerty is proud to say we printed Michael’s very first poetry publication in Issue 28, pictured below, and that we have continued our friendship with this veteran Qwert through our ongoing collaboration with Echolocation at the University of Toronto, where he is an MA student in English. Three cheers for Michael Prior, and for all young Canadian poets!

P.S. Michael–look for a shout out (of sorts) in our upcoming Issue 32…

Michael’s poems “Blucher” and “The Boy Who Lost an Arm” appear in Qwerty 28.
